Site Administration

Of course having a Content Management System is about more than just the public pages (or front-end) of your site.  There are a number of key back-end admin features designed to give you flexibility in the way you manage your site, which will not be apparent to your visitors.

Custom Page Templates

All of the pages in your Textor website use page templates or types that are set up for you as part of the site development.

Each template can be custom built to your specification to manage the site content just the way you want it to.  You can create highly structured templates that limit the page editor's freedom, but ensure the pages appear and behave exactly the way you want them to.  Or you can have page templates that give a greate degree of editorial freedom to make each page more individual.

So you can contrtol the use of different fonts, sizes and colours; you can control the place ment of images and text; and you can prevent some elements from being editable at all.

Workflow

Using the workflow features of the CMS enables you to set up your site so that multiple editors can write content for different sections of the site, whilst keeping a final decision to publish new content to a central editor/webmaster.

Version Control

Version control functionality allows editors to record notes about changes made to a page since the previous version.
