Hosting

We only offer hosting for websites we are responsible for, and our fees depend on the type of site and expected traffic.  Our service includes:

• Mirrored disks for security
• Daily Backups
• Firewall protection against viruses and attacks
• Plesk software for clients to manage their own virtual space
• Continous monitoring to maximise uptime

Using our hosting solution makes it easier for us to provide ongoing site support and maintenance, including upgrades to the platform.

A Dedicated Server

For larger sites with heavy traffic and lots of interactive functionality, such as an online store, we recommend you have a server dedicated to your site.  It offers the same features as our shared hosting solution, but with higher security and better performance. 

Working with your Hosting Provider

Of course if you prefer to manage your hosting yourself, we can also work with your existing solution, as long as it is compatible with our software, which of course is something we can advise you on.

Domain Registration

We can organise registration of  a website domain name, but we recommend clients do this directly with a good domain registration company.  This enables them to retain direct control over their domain names and it doesn't have any impact on where the site itself can be hosted.

There are many hundreds of registration companies but we have used 123-reg for some time as they are reliable and cost effective
