Terms and conditions
The gory details are here. To summarise the main points:
Terms: strictly 30 days.
Validity: Quotations are valid for: 30 days.
Invoicing: Projects £3,000 or over: 50% on commencement; 50% on completion, Otherwise 100% on completion.
In the event of delay to the project over 30 days due to events outside our control, there will also be an interim stage payment covering the work done to date.
Confidentiality: Each party will keep information about the other in confidence
Acceptance: Client has 30 days to conduct acceptance tests and products will be deemed accepted when all faults reported in writing have been rectified or when the system goes live. Faults must be submitted via our tracking system.
Target browser platforms MS Windows with the browser versions in use by 90% or more of visitors. We will make reasonable efforts to provide an acceptable result on other platforms.
Warranty: 90 days.
Deliverables / Change control: Our fixed price is based on the deliverables listed in the quotation. This supersedes any previous verbal or written communications. All changes to the specifications must be in writing and may affect timescale and budget.
Hosting: Programs are designed to function on hosting provided by Textor Webmasters Ltd. We will investigate / quote for other platforms.
Maintenance: Where quoted covers (1) enquiries, (2) remedial work outside warranty, (3) occasional changes up to 2 hours work each, (5) regular health check of site, (4) other small work items, e.g. help with log interpretation.
Intellectual Property
Our software is used on all our client's websites, so we can't simply pass the ownership of the software over to the designer or their client. So in common with other software companies, we retain ownership of the software but licence its use by our clients.
Our licence terms now give the IP for any custom-developed software to the client. This is software we won't be using on other sites.
